It paints a personal picture of the artist, showing a glimpse into his way of thinking. The songs were created as part of WeeklyBeats 2022, a challenge to create a new song every week for a year. Hi everyone! Thanks for checking out my album. It's a solo project that I've been working on for the past year, and overthinking it because it's my first release after ~20 years of playing music. I did piano lessons for 6 years when I was little but mostly I'm self-taught. I sing and play guitar, piano and synth on the album, plus some more fancy orchestrations done with various methods using StaffPad, GarageBand, etc. The mixing and mastering was done by me mostly using plugins from Universal Audio and listening attentively on good studio speakers.

I've been creating games as my main occupation for the past 10 years, but I've always been experimenting with other forms of art, and I hope with this release to open my horizon to a lot more music in the future.

It is a solo project, in the sense that I composed, recorded and produced every track myself, but in reality it's a project that a lot of people helped me with - from advice, creative sessions and jams, to feedback, to being a lovely audience or even a muse. It all comes together and you, the listener, are an important final piece of this puzzle, so thanks for being here.

The album cover features my face on full blast with a rose tint applied, because that's how I see the world and that's how you I want you to see me. I am an optimist, altho sometimes I need a reminder for hope. I love humanity, because it is capable of love, and I am fascinated by all its glorious and mundane aspects. The album is entitled Romantic, because my last name is Roman and it's a nice pun, but also because I like the idea of a romantic person - going around falling in love with people, with or without success, but always with hope - and that's me in a nutshell.
